 Indulge Milwaukee, an exclusive food, wine and spirit tasting experience celebrating Milwaukee’s extraordinary food scene, debuted on August 20 - 21, 2022. The elite event captivated the tastes and senses of over 2,000 taste-seekers over 2 days at Milwaukee’s iconic American Family Field.
Indulge Milwaukee was hosted by the Wisconsin Restaurant Association Education Foundation with presenting sponsor Badger Liquor. The event raised $139,000 for the Wisconsin Restaurant Association Education Foundation, a 501c3 charitable organization that leads workforce development initiatives to attract, train and lift up individuals looking for careers in hospitality. The Foundation has awarded more than $950,000 in scholarships and oversees the Wisconsin ProStart program which ignites high school students’ passion for hospitality careers. “We were thrilled to help bring together Milwaukee’s exceptional restaurants with wine and spirits from the best local, national and international brands for an indulgent tasting experience,” says Lacey Sadoff, President and fourth generation owner of Badger Liquor. “We wanted to be involved in the event to support the Wisconsin Restaurant Association Education Foundation and the work they do within the restaurant and hospitality industry in Wisconsin.” “Indulge Milwaukee not only highlighted Milwaukee’s diverse and innovative food scene, it was an investment in the future of the hospitality industry,” said Connie Fedor, Executive Director of the Wisconsin Restaurant Association Education Foundation and lead event organizer. “100% proceeds from the event supported vital workforce development programs to ensure the success and sustainability of the restaurant industry.” Fedor shared that pulling off an event of this magnitude required the commitment and dedication of many key partners and sponsors. “We’re grateful for the support of presenting sponsor Badger Liquor and other corporate sponsors, as well as participating specialty food vendors, wine and spirit exhibitors and restaurant partners,” shared Fedor, noting the support of venue partner American Family Field and the Milwaukee Brewers helped create a truly memorable and successful event.  Indulge Milwaukee to host exclusive fine dining event at AmFam Field
Milwaukee’s food industry is getting a spotlight as the Wisconsin Restaurant Association Education Foundation (WRAEF) is putting on the city’s first exclusive tasting experience on Aug. 20-21. Indulge Milwaukee provides an opportunity for top Milwaukee restaurants, national wine and spirits brands as well as regional specialty producers to offer the very best products for tasting. All proceeds of the event will go to WRAEF which oversees workforce development initiatives to attract and train workers for the food service industry. WRAEF executive director Connie Fedor said the event will be important for the local and regional food service industry, which has suffered greatly through Covid-19. “This is an opportunity to invest in the future workers of the industry and to attract that pipeline of talent,” Fedor said. “Restaurants serve at the center of our community, and this is a great way for people to support restaurants and ensure that they’re around.” The event will take place at American Family Field as part of a two-day tasting experience. Indulge Milwaukee has secured 35 Milwaukee restaurants, 60 wine and spirit vendors, and 15 specialty food vendors all offering over 300 tasting opportunities. With only 4,000 tickets available, the one-day ticket price is $150 with a VIP opportunity at $350 which offers on-field experience with some other exclusive opportunities. Dan Sidner, who co-owns Milwaukee’s Black Shoe Hospitality, said all of his group’s restaurants and locations will be taking part in Indulge Milwaukee; that includes Story Hill BKC, Blue’s Egg, Buttermint Finer Dining, Maxie’s and Black Shoe Catering and Bakery. “Our industry is faced with the lowest biggest deficit of employees in our history and we desperately need people not just work in restaurants but to think of restaurants as a career,” Sidner said. “Milwaukee, a community with the culinary caliber it is, should have an event like this. Indulge Milwaukee is a new, exciting two-day tasting event taking place on August 20-21 from noon to 5 PM at American Family Field, home of the Milwaukee Brewers. The Bartolotta Restaurants will be participating in this two-day event featuring several of our fine-dining restaurants. Our culinary team will be in attendance for the Grand Tasting at the Pavilion on both Saturday and Sunday.
